Hello my sweet and loving family and friends!
It sounds like you all had a BLAST for the 4th of July! Sister Bishop and I had a pretty good time too. We have this wonderfully amazing older couple in our ward (the Childs) who wanted us to come to fireworks with them after dinner for the 4th. Our mission President had told us that all the missionaries had to be in by 8:00. We told Brother Childs on Thursday that we could come for dinner but could not go to the fireworks afterwords. We get a text the next morning saying from him saying “Sisters, you are going to a firework show tonight. See you at five.” Brother Childs had stalked President Blatter for 2 whole days just so he could get us permission to go to the fireworks! Apparently Presdident was totally fine with it. It was a ton of fun and we enjoyed ourselves:)
I am totally out of time! I am not sure where the time went! But quick updates! Our single dad investigator and his son are doing great! They came to church and are getting baptized on the 19th! Our new investigator is also doing great. We gave him a church tour this week and then took him to a baptism with us. He is also getting baptized on the 19th! He is so excited for it!
I am doing great, never need to worry. I am loving every minute of my mission! Love you all so so much!
“But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.”
I love that the Lord gives us a fool-proof way to know for ourselves. We can and should experiment on the words He gives us. He asks us to prove for ourselves what is true (1 Thessalonians 5:21). He will help us fill the faith we lack if we are willing to act on that particle we do have (Mark 9:23-24).
Love, Sister Cassell
